Pendeen Silver Band has been at the heart of our community for over a century, bringing the joy of brass music to West Cornwall. Based in the historic mining village of Pendeen, we are one of Cornwall’s oldest brass bands, with a proud tradition of performing at local events, concerts, and competitions.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to preserving and promoting brass band music, providing opportunities for musicians of all ages and abilities to develop their skills and share their love of music with the community. Whether playing at village fêtes, Remembrance services, or prestigious contests, our aim is always the same – to entertain, inspire, and uphold Cornwall’s rich musical heritage.
Meet Our Musical Director
Pendeen Silver Band is led by Darren Jenkin, an experienced and passionate musician dedicated to guiding the band to new heights. Under his leadership, we continue to grow in both musicianship and performance, ensuring we maintain our strong presence in the local and wider brass band community.
A Community Band for Everyone
We take pride in being a true community band, offering a welcoming and supportive environment for players of all ages. Our training band provides an excellent opportunity for beginners to learn an instrument, while our main band continues to perform at a variety of local and national events.
