The Butlins Mineworkers Championship has announced the list of works that will be used as the test pieces at the 2014 Festival in Skegness.
They are:
Championship Section: Energy, Robert Simpson
1st Section: Vitae Aeternum, Paul Lovatt-Cooper
2nd Section: Kenilworth, Arthur Bliss
3rd Section: Music for a Festival, Philip Sparke
4th Section: Three Saints, Goff Richards
Goff Richards test piece, ‘Three Saints’ is a particular favourite of ours being about the Cornish Saints of Petroc, Breward and Manfreda!
