The weeks of practice proved successful as Pendeen Silver Band were crowned SWBBA Champions (UG Section) at the South West Brass Band Association Championships on November the 3rd in Torquay.

This was the first contest for percussionist Jacob Kevern who joined his father (Jonathan) and sister (Charlotte) on the stage. (Photo below).

After the result Darren Jenkin, the MD, commentated,

“Well done everyone on a fantastic performance. Great solo performances from Liz, Steve and Derek and an all round performance you should all be very proud of… I am!!! A special well done to all our younger players who are a real credit to the band- Charlotte , Megan , Cap’n Jack and Jacob -you are stars.
