In 1986 the Tin Crisis was causing the impending closure of the local Tin Mines, including Geevor Tin Mine where the band had it’s bandroom.

A parade was held in Redruth to raise awareness of the problems and support the Mines. The Parade included the mass bands of Pendeen, Redruth and Camborne (I think?).
